FAQ - Metadata
We collect all of the questions related to Metadata in your NFTs from our community on NMKR Studio and compile the answers here

How can I check the metadata in an NFT?

You can use https://jsoneditoronline.org/ to check and https://pool.pm/test/metadata to view your metadata.

How can I access the metadata for my images?

The metadata embedded within your NFTs would be issued by the program you used to create the images. The Image files and the metadata are the factors that have to be prepared before starting with NFT Maker. Therefore, revert back to where you created the images to view/edit the metadata.
You might find that the software stores the metadata in another format like CSV, a spreadsheet or some other format.
The ideal format is JSON, that matches the way you have set up the metadata template.

What are the requirements of CIP0025?

The metadata must be uploaded simultaneously with your files via /uploadNFT endpoint.

How do I add custom attributes (traits) to my NFTs?

If you want to add custom attributes like "body" or "background” you can add them to the metadata template.

Is it possible to change the metadata after I created the project?

Yes, it is possible to change the metadata even after the creation of your NFT project.
If you are using the SFTP Upload Method, you can simply:
  • Edit the metadata template
  • Delete the metadata files you have uploaded so far
  • Upload the new metadata files

Is it possible to change the metadata after an NFT has been minted?

We would highly recommend checking over your project before minting to ensure that everything possible has been done to avoid errors.
However if you do find an error with the metadata after an NFT has been minted it may still be possible to solve this. You can request support by contacting [email protected].
